With the duo Czaika & Puchacz, free improvisation meets "instant songwriting". Kaja Draksler and Szymon Gasiorek describe their music alternately as retro-avant-pop or research into the abstraction of everyday worlds. In a minimalistic format, the Polish drummer and Slovenian pianist create darkly cheerful sound stories from texts as well as instrumental and electronic sounds in real time.
